INTERNSHIP
Job Bridge internship
to start May 2013 or asap thereafter
The intern will
gain practical experience in the context of international development regarding
web-based research, international advocacy, project management, organisation of
training, general office tasks.
The intern will
receive formal/informal training in the following project management,
organisation of training, and general office tasks.
A senior mentor
will be nominated for the successful candidate. On completion the intern will
have attained skills in the above.
SKILLS REQUIRED

Excellent
written and oral communication skills.

Full web
proficiency is essential.

Flexibility, initiative,
ability to work independently – and to a deadline. Ability to prioritise and undertake multiple
tasks.

Excellent
inter-personal and organisational skills. Ability to interact with government
officials, NGOs and inter-governmental organisations with tact, diplomacy and
cultural sensitivity.

Good financial
ability and understanding.

Knowledge of Access programme an asset.
QUALIFICATIONS

Education to
degree level in a development –related field.

Excellent
understanding of development issues.

Fluent written
and oral English required. Knowledge of other languages an asset.
